I got the birds, skinned them and got them boraxed. I took pics of the skinning process. As soon as the skins are dry, I'll take a finished pic and get a step by step posted.

They DEFINITELY were not mountable specimens. Pretty shot up and early season birds. But for free I can't complain!

Mike,

What do you mean by “early season birds”? How can you tell? Is that a good thing, or bad thing for bird skins?

By early season I mean the birds weren't fully feathered. They had pin feathers which fall out when your working on the skin. The feather count is less on birds in this condition. Still, there are plenty of feathers on three skins :D
Also, the birds were freezer burned making skinning difficult.
