John,

Any chance you could post a list of YLI silk numbers (color names) as they correspond to the list of silk numbers (color names) for Pearsall's Gossamer?

Thanks- Ken

Thanks for posting those color numbers so they can be clearly read. YLI silks are nice to tie with, though I can see myself respooling onto Pearsall's bobbins so I can use my Wasatch minibobbins. Now where did I put that credit card...

John - Where did you buy these? Did you get all these colors as a set, or buy them individually? Either way, the colors cover a large range of insects. I wish I could sit across the table and watch you tie. Hopefully someday.

Johnno - I think one of posts in a separate thread included a Pearsall's/YLI silk comparison table. If I can find it, I will post a link here.

Nice one, John. Also, Kimono Silk #367 "Teriyaki" is a good sub for Pearsall's 6B, Sherry Spinner.

I've seen a picture showing YLI #242 (Pinky Brown) as a good match for Pearsall's Ash (#10).

Really nice post John. I'm waiting for a couple colors of Kimono in the mail. Should be here any day and then I'll get a comparison out for those as well.

This website has the Kimono silk thread cards where you can get a close-up view.
