Well first off the Herbert Miner hen cape is a natural black and yes most natural blacks are not jet black but
as with other materials dyed to black the materials often take a beating in the process. When I get a chance I’ll try to take a picture of the 3 capes and post. I did not get the Metz s capes from Jim to clarify.

Just received a Metz honey dun from Jim. Also a #3 rooster in Cree. Both are Very Nice. Can’t wait to try them out. I just need a pattern suggestion or two.

Shipped West Yellowstone on the 26th, arrived NE Pennsylvania on the 5th. I really wasn’t expecting it any sooner since the postal service is having a tough go of it lately. 20 days for a rod to arrive from an hour away as of late. I know, I should have driven down to pick it up.

Couple of pics. First one shows. Metz black hen on the left and a Herbert Miner hen on the right . I much prefer the Whiting cape as I like the natural color better and the hackle is softer.
