I just watched the video and enjoyed it very much. Very well done. I especially like seeing the birds at the beginning of each segway, then listening to your description of the feather characteristics & suitable substitutions. It was interesting seeing the translucency of some of the primary feathers, as you passed the bodkin behind the feather. Something I had not noticed before.

I was looking for information on this very subject - substitutes for north country hackles. It looks like the video linked above is no longer available? Is there another link, or does anyone know of a place to research recommended subs? I'm finding information in various places, but it's one hackle at a time. :)

"Silk Fur and Feather" by G.E.M. Skues is probably the best book on the subject.
