What I find interesting is the concept of matching the body and hackle colors... plus, since I tend to over hackle and over dub, I like the pics in the Cutcliffe book.

The Kindle version of this book is now available on Amazon for $6.99. I couldn't resist buying the digital version. Makes it really easy to search for things later. Really nice to way to view the images, too.

I found a book online about the flies of Devon. It was published in 1847 so there is a chance that Cutcliffe’s was influenced by it. At any rate, it has a good picture of Devon style flies.
