Something for the Historians

Post by RobSmith1964 » Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:21 pm

Pull up a chair, pour yourself a nice drink. And watch some north country fly history being unveiled.
It was a great thrill to share this with Paul in front of the cameras, and hope you guys also share the thrill. John Shaner knows this pub well! ... uvW1gZz_YU

What an absolute treat, to see the history contained in that box of fly tying materials. The collection is a time capsule, spanning decades. Thank you for sharing this with us. I am facilitated by each layer in the box, on so many aspects (silks, hooks, feather collection, horsehair leaders, fly lists). Goodness, what a fly tying treasure.

I’m glad to see this collection ended up with someone who fully appreciates the range of items enclosed in the box, along with the history.

Not too many chances to find things like that here in the Colonies.
