October 29 box

This box was finished mainly because of a call last week from my old fishing partner Ken in Baker County. He told me how his Rainbow Warriors were out fishing his other flies in Powder River. 8-) The were taking both but the RW was taking the bigger trout.

Back in 2018 I created my Rainbow Warrior Soft Hackle but never tied the nymph because the SH worked so well. ;)
So, it was time to tie the nymphs and try them together.

Those look great. I have been hearing so much about the rainbow warriors lately that they started getting my attention.

Are they really as good as everyone's saying?

The fly came to my attention when Lance Egan retained his position on The USA Fly Fishing Team at the Qualifying Competition in Central Oregon, one part of which was held on the Crooked River. ;)

I tied my Soft Hackle version in 2018 and can say it has been a go to fly in my vest ever since then... :D
