Cortland Brook vs. Greys Streamflex 10' rods

Post by jcrumbacher » Thu Apr 23, 2009 5:32 pm

Hello all,

I know there have been several posts on both of these rods earlier. I was just wondering if anyone has yet had a chance to fish/cast both of them. Any side by side comparisons? I'm considering both rods and ordering the Greys from Harris puts both in roughly the same price range.

Thanks,

I have no comparison for you, however I bought an 8' 4wt. Cortland Brook rod and I love it. It has muscle when needed, is between med fast and fast, has a very sensitive tip section, and can drop a dry on a dime (when I do my part!). From the things I have heard about Greys I don't think you'll be disappointed whichever way you go. I have some Sage's including a 3 wt SLT, Scott, and Loomis rods and find myself reaching for the Brook Rod whenever possible.
