Makes me miss the old days when you could get bamboo rod kits from Orvis.

Bill

Me, too. I have an old Orvis catalog from the 70s and the bamboo rod kits were great. I called them recently and asked about getting an old Battenkill type reel seat and was told that Orvis no longer sells parts for their rods. There goes my plan to build a Battenkill clone.
