For the last few years I've used an Orvis 10' 3wt. euro rod. This year I'm trying something different and so far I like it a lot. It's an OPST micro skagit 9'9" 3 wt. It provides a lot of flexibility as it casts a 150-175 gr. skagit , 180 SA Scandi Lite, and a 3wt. Wulff Triangle Taper, all well. It's designed to be a true three weight by single hand standards, not double hand.
It's light in hand and medium-medium fast action. So far, so good. It's not as good a euro as the orvis, but I like it better for swinging.
Just something else to consider.

How do you like that Rio SHS 3D line? I’ve got the Streamflex Plus 4wt and was eyeing the Rio SHD WFF line in a 4wt. Do you think the 3D is better for swinging soft hackles than the WF?

Oh, absolutely. It's really my favorite line for swinging. I've got it in 3,4, and 6 weights. Nice slow swing, and a straight path to the fly. Easy roll casting and single hand spey. Good overhead also if I pull the head in a bit.
