Flymph - Hen Pheasant

Post by novabass » Thu Mar 28, 2024 8:28 am

I’m not sure if I’m entirely happy with this one.

Tied on a Mustad R50U-94842. Dyed brown hare’s poll spun on a Clark block with Pearsall's Gossamer Primrose silk. Tail and hackle are Hen Pheasant.

I strive for that buggy look when I know I'll be fishing riffles and pocket water.
That will have a lot of movement...I like it!

Great job.

Hen Pheasant makes an excellent March Brown pattern form me.

None of my patterns are as pretty as this one of yours

I really appreciate that Dubbin. You tie some really nice flies, so that means a lot!
