Ron, thanks and good luck of the fly tying event. It sounds like a great gathering on a winter's day. Please let us know how it goes.
Fishnkilts, I know what you mean and I have seen plenty of pictures as viewed from the front of the fly but not as viewed from the back of a fly. Not sure why I took the picture from the back of the fly but it is an interesting view.
Ken, you are much too kind and I learned a lot about tying from this forum. Carl, Tom, Nfrechet, Ray, Lou, Ron and many others that I am forgetting (sorry to those I forgot to mention) have taught me A LOT about proportions, tying techniques (Carl's website), and the history behind many of the flies. As they say, I am riding on the shoulder's of giants.....but I will fish the heck out of that fly. That is half the fun.
But yes, next month I am planning on fishing the northern area of Japan and will take plenty of pictures. Should be an interesting experience.
