I already checked Great Feathers a while back. They do not have the GRIP 14723BL hook I have been wanting...in size 12 and 14. I am also on the search for a hook in the US, the Partridge 15BNX in size 12, 14. That is the EXTREME hook. I found the regular Klinkhammer, but I want the extreme one. These hooks are definitely on my wish list. I sure wish a US dealer would supply us with these gorgeous hooks.

I have heard that Hans Van Klinken has teemed up with Diichi to produce the Klinkhamer hooks. may be worth searching that rumour also. I will make contact with hans and see what the position is.
As for the Grip hooks. I have used theses plus Tiemco as well as Partridge. I think the Partidge steel (especially in the SLD range) is far superior than either. I don't like twothings about the Teimco BL range - Black, point (which is to fine and the very tip bends under small pressure).

D1167 - KLINKHAMER - BLACK NICKEL

Newly designed by Hans Van Klinken and personally recomended by him, these new Klinkhamer hooks are sized sensibly! - the size 12 hook is approximately the same size as the size 18 Partridge Klinkhamer hook.

Hans Van Klinken does not recognise a "klinkhamer" fly tied on any hook smaller than a 14 so sadly that is the smallest hook in the range ... at present.

Flat section at eye, continuous bend, wide gape
Level Eye
1 X standard wire
“mini-barb”
Black Nickel finish
25 hooks per pack

I've been using mostly Daiichi 1530 , 1640, and White River (Bass Pro) WR-069 hooks for all of my soft hackles. I don't have any loyalty to a particular manufacturer or model, I just use what looks right to me. Cruising this post, though, I see some hooks I may have to try.
Good thread, thanks.

Thank you guys for the thoughts. Ruard, the only thing about buying them at that price is, the dollar exchange is discouraging. Those hooks for one pack would be right at 8.00 for 25 hooks. Then you would have to have shipping too. I have bought from a guy on Ebay, and he got me the Kamasan B525 hooks. Still, they were pretty expensive. I do hope Daiichi works with Klinkhammer. Until then, I am going to try one other option. I will let you know how it works out.

The hook in the picture (D1167) is a Daiichi hook.

OH....I thought it was scheduled for production. I should of looked closer. Too many irons in the fire so to speak. That is awesome. Now they just need to work on the EXTREME HOOK, and I will be thrilled beyond belief. :D
