CB, it is definitely a blue dun. Just poor photography and I did say it was an old shot.

dd,
I always drink my scott measured by two fingers - little and pointer. Gives a great deal to play with.

Ha, maybe it's that purple Pearsall's playing hob with a camera's algorithms again, but a great looking fly for all of that. :)

I love the photo of the flies filled in the DeWitt box. The enlarged individual fly was killer. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't come around to them yet. Seems like all my flies are below. I study them frequently, though. They are so delicate. That EP tiipii fiber make them so realistic compared to the competition.
I ordered a batch of Kamasan B525 a couple of months ago. When delivered, a set of North Country wets were included. He is a very skilled fly tier, no question about it.

Fantastic thread.........incredable flies..............and Ariel, fly fishing is sposed to be whatever "YOU" want it to be. ;) And that's as simple as it gets.....by any "measure." 8-)
