Pearsalls floss

Hi all;

anyone know what the difference is between Pearsalls marabou & stout floss?

I may be mistaken about this, but it looks like the main difference is the diameter of the silk. Stout thread is listed as being much heavier and is used for building up large bodies. "A heavy floss used for the bodies on traditional salmon flies." It is sold in 1 dram spools.

Here is what I could find listed:

'Gossamer' is thread in a size similar to 6/0 thread (according to the Golden Witch bamboo rod catalog)
'Naples' is a bit thicker (more like 4/0)
'Marabou' is 10 strands and is used for building larger bodies
'Tag and Body' is a multi strand floss of a much larger size
Stout is a heavier multi strand thread
