Fly Fest at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum

Post by tjd » Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:05 am

All,

8th Annual Fly Fest at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum

This is a great event if you are able to attend! I've been to the last two, and it is a great opportunity to watch other tiers, share information, learn, and teach.

Saturday, Feb 9th 2013. 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum.

Cost is $5, which goes to the Museum.

They are collecting flies that will be donated to Reel Recovery.

There are no vendors at this event.

I hope to see some of you there...

Best,

Tim

Tim - I am interested in attending (assuming that my company does not send me overseas again, like last year). I will add it to my calendar and hope for the best. ;)

bump

Fly Fest will be this weekend, in case anyone is interested. Tim and I plan to be there. Hope to see others from the forum, as well.

Please give my regards to the tiers, present-especially John Bonasera, Joe Fox if he is there, Allan Podell, Ed Ostapczuk and many other great tiers I know. I tied in this event the second year it was held. I had a great time and made many good friends. Wish I could be there. Have fun, Ray and Tim.

Better to be safe, Ray. Tie some at home, or go visit Nick!

Charlie Dickson is tying Catskill dry flies at OOFS today. I will be watching closely from the front row this afternoon. :-)
