:D Not a problem. Thanks very much.

Time to go try to match the craftsmanship in the photo.

crazyforoldcars,

The material list correct, but for one item. The thorax is the dyed bright green peacock herl from Hareline. I do not think I sent that to Hans correctly. No flash back on this fly.

Thanks Hans for posting the material list

Thanks, Carl. I kept trying to see Peacock Herl, in that and was having a problem with it. ;) I figured maybe it was a lot better quality than I have.

I appreciate the help.
And, please, call me Kirk.

Half of the time the finish on my flies is not at the head.
I try to keep the head as unobtrusive as possible, sometimes manaaging itt - beginner's luck.
If there is a large head of tying silk, there is more to go wrong.
I only lacquer the head on flies for other folks, not for mine.
Thus I want to keep as few weaknesses as possible,
least turns = least likely to get pulled apart by teeth and casting.

Aesthetically, small heads make it for me.
Minimalism rules.
