Just playing around with some Camel hair

Very fishy, and I like the mix very much. I need some of that camel dubbing. One of these days, I am gonna order some. Real nice fly Tim, please post some more!

Did you dye the hackle yourself, or buy it that way?

I dyed a small patch just to see how I like the color.

That reminds me, I have a pack of camel dubbing somewhere on my tying desk. I need to dig it up (currently buried under other tying stuff) so I can try to duplicate this pattern. Nice job. Thanks for sharing & inspiring.

When I scanned this quickly, I thought it said that you had a pack Camels somewhere.

That got me to thinking. Would tobacco work as a dye? It seems to be of a color worth imitating.
