Has anyone used raccoon tail underfur in the bodies or abdomen of their flies?
I have a ton of this, so I wondered if anyone had any experience with it.

I've seen raccoon tail guard hair used on a streamer, Paul, but not the underfur. Show us a photo please.

Don't you think that is a little too much dubbing for a size 16 hook? (Kidding/humor)

That looks pretty interesting, Paul. If some of that were chopped up and homogenized either in a coffee grinder or using the water/conditioner method, it should come out as a nice dun not unlike grey wallaby. The texture appears to be such that it would blend well with any number of other fibers, including "frizzed" wool, so the possible color combinations look to be endless. I would not pass up a small sample if you were to offer it ;) .

I'm working on the largest flymph possible using a size 16 hook! I'll start a new fad, you'll see!
;)

Say no more, I'm offering, it will be on it's way soon!
It may not make it by Christmas, but you never know.

Paul, seeing this made me get my Clark's block box out today. It's a very portable arrangement and travels easily to the Dr's office waiting room. :? I have a blend of red fox and mink that is a great hendrickson body blend when wet. I finished up almost three cards by the time we were called back.

I haven't used the raccoon on the block, though I have some. I'll be curious to see your results with the pre-spun bodies.

William, I love it that the photo inspired you to get your Clark block out! I've done that before with various photos that I've seen. It gets me going!
Very cool!
