No, no! I was genuinely curious; I'm sorry If that came across as 'pointed'; that wasn't my intention at all! I live no where near the Downeast region of my state (Hancock and Washington counties) and it always amuses me how protective downeast residents are of that title. I live a little northwest of Caribou and the rest of the state considers us to be barely out of the pleistocene.
Until I had enough sense to look it up, I mistakenly thought it applied to everyone north and east of Merrimac, Mass.
Had no idea it was that specific. Live and learn ...
