Gartside's shrimp gurgler was one of the first flies I learned to tie. It was especially effective when the specs and reds were chasing juvenile shrimp in the marsh back lakes. I had no idea there were so many different gurglers until clicking the link that tie2fish provided. No one in our group was aware this site existed apparently, because we never tied any of the other gurglers Gartside created.
