Ray,

I use XS wire but you can change the wire size depending on the size of the hook used.

Kind of looks like that fly is wearing chainmail, ready for battle. Excellent pattern. Leaves a lot open to experimentation.

I like Ron's chain mail analogy. This being April 19th it seems appropriate. (yeah, I know they weren't wearing mail at Lexington but still...)
