I like it. The dressed body I think is an excellent idea.

Keep fishing it. Who knows, maybe the fish were off a little that day. Have you tried different colors?

What feather are you using for the haggle? That’s a nice slate gray shade(Reminiscent of Waterhen) with black tips.....

That is California Quail sir....given to me by a gentleman for whom the fly is named.
