Heretic !!! Dry winged Greenwells Glory

Post by NightWatchman » Thu Dec 10, 2020 8:47 pm

Well this was my first shot at the famous Greenwell’s Glory but I wanted to tie it as a dry
and I see there is no category for that . Maybe the moderators can place it somewhere where
it’s not too out of place . You see the thing is I really wanted to use fine gold wire. lol. My first
stab at starling wings and I must say I am now enlighten how a lunatic must have behaved in one of
those British insane asylums.

For a dry fly, I think it looks great. I wouldn't change a thing. Starling hackle isn't too hard to tie with if your gentle with it.

Don't fret over it and surely don't do anything rash like throwing your vise. Really, the fly looks good and I'd fish with it in a heart beat.
