Those are perfect! Everything about those say "eat me".

You nailed the proportions in my opinion and I especially like your choice of the subdued olive color.

Elegant simplicity in its purest form. Alan, your soft hackle flies are marvelous.

Do you have a special technique for forming the dubbed part of the body. How do you get that texture? Are you using a split tread technique?

Alan,
These, like everything else you create, are exquisite! Carl said it best! They have that "lunchability" that is lacking in my patterns! Both Pete Hidy and his son Lance have that talent, insight, God given ability to accomplish this end! I wish I had a tenth of this!
Your pal in soggy Ohio (and that's a good thing actually),

You should send those flies to Fly Tyer Magazine so they post a picture! What brand/color of thread did you use?

Thanks- Ken

Awesome doesn't describe it good enough. Those are brilliantly tied. I wish my proportions were exact as yours, but it's something I continue to struggle with from time to time.
Keep showing us your great looking flies.

Thanks guys.
Ray I just dub on the thread. A little moisture helps keep things in order.

The thorax is dubbed with SLF Squirrel....great stuff.
