Thanks for the compliments Gents and the well wishes. Tomorrow morning I go for a Cat scan to determine the extent of the injury. Thanks Chugbug for the suggestion but I wouldn’t be attempting that for sometime. I like the easy stuff ! I’m surprised more people don’t use it more for a body quill. It wraps very nicely and accepts marker colorings quite easily.

I was given a bunch of nice white (clear) horse tail for tying by a friend many years ago. I used it all up. Makes a great body just like you have tied here. It is a little difficult to obtain if you don't have a mustang running around the yard. I have found that natural Yak hair often used for saltwater streamers makes a nearly perfect substitution.

If there is a music store in your area that sells violins and cellos, they probably carry beautiful, white, stallion tail hair. It's used on the bow of those stringed instruments.

They probably also have different grades of rosin, if you want to make your own tying waxes.
