Here is one that I have hopes for. I like very basic type flies

Hends BL599 size 14 hook. Uni-thread 8/0 camel. Hends hare dubbing dark March brown for body with Rusty brown dubbing for thorax. Hen pheasant back patch hackle, slightly long in fibre.

Sorry the photo is wrong way round - not sure what went wrong.

Did you say "basic"? I prefer basic tyes as well.

You have a fine looking pattern there.

That's a lovely wee fly, David. Can't stop looking at it. All the colors and shape just work so well together. Fine pattern.

Thank you for your favourable comments. Much appreciated. I do enjoy tying simple flies. I think it must be down to my Lancastrian heritage, being brought up on a diet of Snipe & Purple, Partridge & Orange and other North Country spiders.

I love your style. The fly is delightfully sparse with eye appeal.

Lovely fly….. AND I quite like your backdrop: rolling hills, tilled farmland, with a sliver of silver centered, hinting at the suggestion of a lazy meadow stream…..what water would that be???

Thank you for your comments. The photo was taken in the English Lake District with a glimpse of Rydal Water in the background.
