If I had to choose..

Post by Smuggler » Tue Jun 03, 2014 7:40 am

Just one fly to fish for a season, it would be this little gem.Image

I received in the mail last night the Oliver Edwards essential swap dvd. I must say the dvd is very well done, very informative and lot's of eye candy for us. After watching it I sat down and fiddled around with some of the patterns.

I've tied lot's of Stewarts spider's but for some odd reason I never followed the steps from his book. Don't know why, just didn't maybe I thought it sounded too complicated but, it really isn't. Shame on me.

Anyhow, I'll be bringing this dvd a long on the trip. I'm sure it'll start up some great conversations!

Eric, You're going to be in Montana and you want to watch DVDs??!! As good as Ollie's stuff is I can think of other things to do out there. Like fish 'till you drop...........

Exactly two weeks from now I'll be fishing a pair of spiders on the Firehole. You can join me or you can stay in the cabin watching the tube, your choice!

LOL!!!

See you soon!

My thoughts exactly.

What are we going to be fishing 24/7?
And if you answer yes, then I guess I better get ready!

LOL.

I actually did just that. When stationed in Germany, I went to the Octoberfest in Munich with a bus of other military guys and gals. Within 5 minutes of getting off the bus, I had lost everyone. Spent the day walking around eating pretzels and drinking soda. Actually, a lot of coca cola was being drunk. But it was in liter mugs mixed with beer and vodka.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

what are the steps for the black spider? The only ones I've seen are in Dave Hughes book.
