Bill, I started tying something similar a couple years ago with a long single strand of flash tailing off the back and it worked great. This little beauty ought to be great.
ditto for West Yellowstone.

William,
I had a trout a number of years ago that created a single strand trailing behind a caddis dry by breaking the rib off near the front. As you said it still worked great.

All of my early X-caddis variations used Krystal Flash shucks.
