All 3 are #12 3399's. When you are that close up on the photos it makes is hard to tell sometimes because any little tilt or angle change in the fly can mess with the shape of the hook.

In the book the originals are just drawings. Hidy gives detailed instructions for each pattern. It seems the instructions are to walk the beginner wet fly fisher through the basic methods of tying wet flies starting with the Leisenring Spider then the Brown Hackle and finishes with the Hare's Ear Fly. Lance may have photos of the original patterns listed.
