CDC and Moose

I've been using CDC on some emergers lately and using the tips of the feather as an underwing. That left behind all those fibers from the lower part of the feather. Using my Pettijean clips, etc I started tying a few flies with CDC hackles...and why not a CDC tail... So here's my CDC and Moose...
Moose mane body with "bone dry" and Trouthunter Caddis Dun CDC on size 16 Ahrex nymph hook. Thorax is Brown Ice dub.
I can't remember seeing a tail on a soft hackle using the CDC fibers this way.. Anyone remember one? If I'm copying someones fly my apologies for thinking I came up with something original.

Excellent emerging pattern. It should sit perfectly flush in the surface film.

Well thought out design.

Ronr, I love the looks of the fly overall, the moose mane body is very cool and I think the cdc will be very effective.
Thanks for sharing, Mike.

Good thinking! The CDC will give excellent movement and the body looks great.

I think CDC is very versatile because you can use it on all style of flies.
