I never was away, Ray - just giving priority to some other obligations.

Hi Hans,
Great looking fly. It is calling me to the water and to the vise.

Hans,
Do you realize that someday people will be snarfing up your photographs (and your flies) in an attempt to immitate them? Every pattern that you put up now will become a landmark in angling history and there will be "Hans Weilenmann Clubs" all over the earth discussing and discecting and dissertating on your materials and procedures and styles.
Your work is fantastic and we just wanted you to know this! We are also anxiously awaiting a pattern book which is destined to be a classic and let me be the first in line to receive a copy...please sign it for me!
A fan forever,

A great pattern superbly dressed and the usual excellent photography. It's always a pleasure, Hans, to see your new creations.

Very nice--I love the spare/shiny abdomen combined with the "wooled-up" thorax. :) A question, though: for a "fishing" fly, would you feel the need to lacquer the krystal flash to make it more durable, or might it hold up through a reasonable number of fish?

CB,

These bugs are pretty quick to tie, pretty resilient and as such I do not normally bother to varnish and then wait to dry. Your mileage may vary...

SIR;
I am absolutly dumbstruck (speachless). When I see what you are able to accomplish with a minimum of materials ...
When I see your name listed for a new fly to be viewed, I have to cover my laptop with a drool proof cover...
I look at where you have set the bar and know that I'll need a space ship to get anywhere near.
