Re: Mohito Soft Hackle
That third fly looks more like the morning after a night of Mohitos. Nice group.

Here are some photos comparing the different types of hackles. The feathers represent the range of hackles typically found on each of the skins:

Genetic Hen Saddles
The larger feathers make wonderful wooly bugger hackle. They are very similar to schlappen feathers. Nice and webby. Very soft center stem.

Ray, love the configuration of color in all those patterns. The flymph style however is my favorite.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Nice. For my eye the flymph is the one.
I use a LOT of Indian necks. I think they are great.
Was lucky to pick up about 3 dozen at a shop closing sale about 20 yrs ago for a coupla bucks each. Mainly reds and browns and shades thereof with a few blacks. The odd varient. Dyed some creams into olive and blue dun of various shades too.
Chinese hen is nice too.
Mind you ANY feather is nice. You just have to find the right use for it
