Starling and Yellow

Starling and Yellow by GlassJet, on Flickr

Hook: Kamasan B981 #14. Silk: Pearsall's yellow, waxed. Hackle: Starling, part palmered. Rib: fine gold wire.

Thinking behind this no more that nicking the body of the Greenwell's Spider, which performed so consistently for me last season, but trying it with a different hackle. There is something that looks so 'alive' about the starling hackle, to my eye, as in the Stewart's - so thought I'd give it a go. :D

Andrew.

That looks really toxic Andrew, and a top notch picture to go with it...

Lovely - a very clean and crisp tie.

You're on a roll now, Andrew. Using the Greenwell body with starling is a stroke of ... well, someone who has a really good feel for dressings that will kill.

Andrew, the body length on this seems to suit this color of silk much better. (insert emoticon here as not be misunderstood as making a rediculous comment.)

Nicely done as always.
