That's a mighty high bar you've set, Ruard. I have no doubt that I'll be able to limbo under it

Re: Challenge Wiggle
I believe that would make a fine damsel pattern Ruard.
Here's my Wiggle. Taking a chance at loosing what little tying credibility I may have here. I have actually fished and caught fish with this wiggle.
Fore hook: any dry with bend cut off
Body: synthetic dry dubbing
Wing: Coastal deer hair
Rear hook: Tiemco 111 #16
Body: orange silk thread
Hackle: medium partridge
Note: hooks are attached with kevlar thread.

I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Old Hat,
That's a bit like one I've fished, except I left the hook on the caddis and instead of kevlar, the hooks were attached with about 18" of 5x.
But you're right, it works real well!

Re: Challenge Wiggle
Carl,
I don't consider that a Wingless Wet Wiggle. It's really a tandem.

Re: Challenge Wiggle
True, not wingless, but not a tandem either, only one hook. It is the wingless that wiggles. Do I get 1/2 a point?

Ruard ~ Here's a "Wiggle" that's been in my Isonychia box for a few years (note rust on hook point); I don't even remember the recipe ...Ruard wrote:Thank you I am anxious to see your Wiggle.tie2fish wrote:That's a mighty high bar you've set, Ruard. Re: Challenge Wiggle
The bar has definitely been raised around here lately. I think some of the best and most innovative tyers reside here, on this forum! Good job!!!!
