Very cool--doesn't the "traditional' Dark Wachet call for just the purple thread to be touch-dubbed, then wrapped simultaneously with the orange? Your innovation promises to make that a lot easier.

Ray, you are really on a creative streak. You'll have to make the dowel out of exotic hardwood and add some fancy logo...$15.99. If MP can sell plastic paper binders for $30, there are is a market for this type of thing. (eye rolling emoticon). It really is a neat trick and fantastic series of pics to illustrate it. If you don't patent this, someone will. Especially the boo guys. Nice technique.

Thanks guys. I hoped you'd like this. Maybe I should submit the idea to a fly tying magazine.
CB - The Dark Wachet came to mind, when I started thinking about other color combinations. I think I can use this method to make some interesting flymph patterns as well. Maybe this technique could be the basis for a future IBF swap. I'd love to see what other could come up with.

Two thumbs way up! Ray.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
