Soft Hackle Ants
Hook - Mustad Model R70/Size 14
Front and Rear Abdomens - Pearsall's Gossamer Silk (color of choice/red in this case)

(After tying the body, give the silk a coat of SHHAN clear nail polish or superglue and allow to dry. Give fly a second coat of SHHAN and allow to dry again before finishing the fly).

Legs - Starling

These are easy to tye, but time consuming fussy little blighters. You have to be very careful handling the flies. If you touch them before they are completely dry, the appearance of the abdomen are easily damaged. It may be easier to use "Knot Sense" and cure the bodies with UV light.
