My wife hasn't missed it yet. She is delighted that we go to the fabric store together, but not sure why.

chase creek, Howdy;

Beautiful fly, colors, balance, etc. .......

What with the different discussions about background colors
textures and all what ,if you don't mind sayin', is your
back ground/stand????
Really like the whole package.

I agree with Hank. The pattern, and the backround is superb.

Thanks for the kind words.
The background is just a piece of bark I picked up in the yard and let dry out. I think the background is as important as the subject of the photo in some cases.

Sounds like she has 'big plans' for you! :lol:

Beautiful little fly. Definite winner! I'm partial to scud and emerger hooks. I'll have to take a trip to our fabric store and look for some of that Sulky stuff too.

CC, that looks like every fly I would want to carry. fantastic design and I love the body material. I feel like I'm missing out by my preference to use natural dubbing materials from the hide, which is limiting considering what you're able to achieve with this body blend. Killer fly. I would make that my "go to".

Really glad that you've begun posting your flies, CC ... they are exceptional.

Very cool little fly. And Photograph!

Reassuring to hear that I am not the only one who has been making conjugal visits to the fabric store (and knitting shop) lately. :D

Considering here in the South Island of NZ there are only two (yes two!) dedicated fly shops (not counting general sports stores that carry a limited fly tying selection) craft- fabric and sewing supply stores are a major supplier of material for me!
But then again so is my Brno Model 1 .22lr. :oops:

Great looking fly, it just looks "right". Great choice of colours and materials. Your proportions suit the hook really well.
