Thats a very neat flat copper, is it true copper or a copper coated lurex type material?
Nice wide gap hook as well, beauty of a tie.

I do not really know, but will find out from the person who shared some with me on source and description.
It is a reasonably springy metallic ribbon - I have it in a number of colors. It is not lurex or mylar, but by the same tokan is not actual copper either.
To be continued...
Cheers,

Ah, I see. And here was me thinking you developed some form of roll press to flatten copper round wire to an oval just to keep us all on our toes!

Sharp looking fly, Hans. Like the short hook, looks just right for this pattern.

As always beautifully tied Hans, a nice variant of the 'Copper King'.
