Re: Frosty Mink
Love it! The abdomen will have a beautiful aura (glow) to it while fishing. I need to give this twisted technique a try. I love the results.
short response - Wonderful fly, Hans.

What an amazing fly.
Am still wondering how you achieved the dubbing, ribbing and that hair hackle.

How hard can it be?

My recipes list the materials in the order I tie them in.
'Hackle' tied in facing over the eye.
Body: Four stands of KF are tied in. Tying thread split, and mink inserted. Next KF and tying thread/mink twisted together, and wrapped.
I hope that clarifies it?

I just realized how old this post was. 2009, just about the time I got here.

Just how you handled the hair hackle and got it so beautifully distributed around the hook remained a little mysterious.
Looking at some of your videos has cleared that up.
I think it's a pattern I'll admire rather than try to tie
