The hook shape lends itself well to the impression of an ovipositing (sp?) insect. Nicely conceived, Hans, and -- as usual -- tied impeccably.

No split thread in the above pattern. When I do, I list it such in the recipe.

Nice fly there Hans. I can't take my eyes off of the butt section though....amazing thread work.

Looks great, Hans. It has a lot going for it. Color, texture, lots of curves! You "could" put a hackle between the butt and abdomen and have a fly that's coming and going!

Hans, this one is hot coming and going. Kebari flies are so addictive. This should have all the action you could want with exceptional visibility if you need it.
I recently spun a set of pre-spun bodies using fox squirrel and the fibers (guard fibers) are some of the stiffest/spikiest. Is the body here only the underfur or did you manage to harness the spiky body with some technique?
