Wayne, primrose silk is very versatile. As I'm sure you can see in these excellent flies. Try it out.

Those look great, with your own style.

I've been trying my hand at the same pattern. Here is one of the more slender ones.
Kinda looks like the mayfly in my avatar icon there in the upper right, sitting on the vise.

That's the one. You were a witness. I didn't stage it. Mr. Mayfly was starting to make amorous advances on the artificial fly that William was tying.
