Your technique in tying this fly and your photography skills are both superior. I am envious of both. Very well done sir.

Very nice.
Your coming along in leaps and bounds, best representation from a Kiwi tier within the last month- hands down.
Liking the colours, proportions and body taper. Tied on a barbed hook, I would add it to the arsenal. ;)

Thank you for the kind comments.
We were out looking at tying lamps yesterday that might also be useful for photos.
Perphaps I'll stick with sunlight Wayne :)

Barbless v barbed??
Nope - not going there!

This is a nice fly, I'm curious about the hook though. What led you to choose a dark hook? Color contrast?

I think Smuggler, that rather than any well laid out plan,
I just like them :)

What would be your choice of hook for a similar fly?
