Caverhill's Cutthroat Spider with a tail and a little flash. This one turned out a bit unruly but the fibers should sweep back when wet.

hook - Mustad 79580 #6
thread - MFC 6/0 hot orange
rib - small wire gold
tail - golden pheasant tippet dyed hot orange
body - tinsel gold
sub collar - dubbing hot orange
collar - woodduck flank
overwing - Mirage Flash opal

How did you do the dubbing on the sub collar? The fly looks like it would be very effective.

I thought you might have used a loop and brushed back when winding on. Nice effect, either way.
