Interesting pattern. I’d be tempted to test this fly on brooktrout.

A very popular pattern in its day. You are very skilled and productive, Scott, educating a lot of people - even in UK. SkyT isn't all that bad.

A truly excellent job on the herl head (collar), Scott. The pattern itself, especially the long duck flank hackle, reminds me some of a fly named the Gosling Streamer that calls for mallard flank.

With regard to the head, do you back tie, or, blind tie? Either way, its very neat!

Thanks. Just twisted the herl around the thread and wrapped the head; I did tip the hook up in the vise to use gravity to my advantage.
