Glad you like them gentlemen. Here are the other two. Sorry, the site was really acting up when I was trying to upload this thread earlier. I gave up for a while as I wasn't sure it even went through the first time. I also added recipes to the first 2 patterns.

Thanks Bill. I just finished Famous Flies and Their Originators, 1972 as well. That was a fun group. A lot of custom dubbing blends and different patterns.

Carl - now Im envious of your photography AND tying skills! Great post as usual. Im curious: what tyoe of hooks is that on the May honey dun, and Blue dun?

Loop eye, forged bend, hollow ground point - older characteristics, but a newer shiny bronze finish - I feel like Ive seen this before, but i cant remember where.

Footnote: McHardys has some very nice vintage up eye model perfect bend Partridge hooks for sale....

Those hooks I'm not sure of. You're the hook guy, I was going to ask you.

I mentioned in the other set that someone, I believe from this forum, sent me those hooks. I lost the connection between the name and the hooks. They are about a #12. I only had enough to do all these sets and thought they would be good platforms to work on. They have a classic look but seem newer. I'm going to have to research them more.

Carl, when can we expect a video series of these being tied? They caught my son's eye when I was viewing them last night. He loved them as well. The flies and photography are too cool!!!!

I've tried video. I need a lot of work, lol. I upgraded my website so that I can post video to it. Now I just need to work out a way to film it. It is a little bit like tying at the shows. Everything goes fine sitting at my table at home, then I get to the shows and thread is breaking, hackle is twisting, hooks are shooting across the table etc. I have always been the poster child for Murphy's Law.

I did do a still photograph step by step for one but I haven't had the time to go through the photos yet. I'll be posting it online.
