All of these are top-notch ties, and great photos. Thanks for sharing. I also like the medium blue dun and black gnat for fishing the next few weeks.

Thanks for sharing these flies. Beautiful. If I may ask where do you all find the colors of wool and mohair you use for your dubbing?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was a fun project and I am glad you all appreciate it.

Most of the wool and mohair I have collected here and there from visiting private knitting businesses. There was once a supplier of kid mohair for tying out of Boise area who had amazing colors and you could buy it loose or stranded on neat wooden spools. He did all his own dying. I don't think he is in business anymore. I had bought up a good selection but mine is starting to wear thin. The company was called Topper Tackle. Wish I could find him again. I think kid mohair is a top of the line material for dubbing and is very under-utilized. You can find nice quality and colors usually sold as leech dubbing specifically for mohair leech patterns.

Kid mohair is available from here, for instance: https://feathersmc.com/product/bill-baileys-kid-mohair/ I have tried it and it is wonderful quality as well as dyed using the old processes from back then.

All I can say is WOW! Those are beautiful and need to be framed. I only hope that one day I will be able to tie that well. You are an inspiration.

Carl,
Your post is absolutely stunning! So well done! I really enjoyed scrolling down and viewing each special pattern. I had to stop once in a while to pick up my lower jaw off the floor!
Well done Carl, very well done! Will there be more in the near future?
