Little Something v.2

Post by Roadkill » Fri Apr 05, 2019 11:01 am

This is my soft hackle version of a dry fly Henry Hoffman created decades ago that has often saved the day for me.
The original was tied with a gold tinsel body. My first variation was tying it as a dry with a holographic silver body on a #22 hook.

Hook-Dai Riki 135 #18

Body-Med. Opal Mirage Tinsel
Hackle-Ginger Hen

When I find a suitable neck I will tie it down to 20's and 22's.

I like the simplicity of it. My favorite type of fly, simple, yet effective.

That is a LITTLE something for sure.

I can see that being very productive.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
