March Brown from Bradley's list of 1890.

Found this in Robert Smith's book North Country Flies. It is a March Brown pattern from the list of William Henry "Tom" Bradley's of 1890.I found it quite interesting to tie and intend to use it on the Beaverkill next month.

Hook. Daiichi 1480 size 12.
Silk. Orange and Scarlet Pearsalls.
Body. Orange and Scarlet dubbed with Fox ear fur.
Hackle. Woodcock outer covert feather.

Your dubbing technique is veery good, I am envious. I am very happy to see that even excellent tiers can run out of room at the hook eye, thank you very much for that. Gives me a boost  :D ;) .

Tom - Have you looked at this pattern wet yet? I'm curious how the orange and scarlet silk change in appearance.

Very interesting pattern. Thanks for sharing.

I have not looked at it wet but I do not think it will change much perhaps slightly darker the silk is well waxed.
