Hendricksons

Along with the March Browns I worked up a few Dark Hendrickson's.

This one is my pattern.

Silk: claret
Hackle: dark dun hen
Tail: bronze mallard
Ribbing: very fine copper wire with a red tint
Body: Rear half (50/50 muskrat and hare's poll). Front half (50/50 muskrat and hare's ear with a pinch of red mohair). Dubbed on claret silk

I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Nice fly, but I really like the thread keeper on your dubbing block! 8-)

I've never tried to mix the dubbing colors like that on the block; I will now. Gorgeous fly.

Really great fly and tutorial, Carl...I’d really like to see a close-up photo of that fly, showing both shades of dubbing wound on the hook.

Thank you!!
